11th Fish Festival 2026 Polis Chrysochous – 2.5.2026

For the eleventh year in a row, the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous is proud to host the **Fish Festival**, which will be held on **Saturday, May 2, 2026**, from **11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.** at the scenic and well-known **Latchi Harbour**.

Throughout the event, visitors will be treated to **complimentary freshly fried whitebait**, courtesy of the Municipality. The festival program will feature a variety of attractions, including live broadcast links, interactive workshops, live musical performances, and dance presentations showcasing traditional Cypriot, Greek, and island folk dances.

A selection of stalls will also be available, offering authentic Cypriot products and delicacies such as **resi**, honey, freshly baked bread, **pastellaki** (sesame brittle), **carob honey koulouria**, **soutzoukos**, **palouzes**, and traditional handmade pasta. Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch demonstrations of traditional crafts, including basket weaving and the decoration of **kolotzi**. In addition, local fishermen will demonstrate traditional fishing techniques, while representatives of the Department of Fisheries will provide information and answer questions on a range of fisheries-related topics.

The festival will also include a wide variety of family-friendly activities designed to entertain both children and adults. Guests can participate in creative workshops where sea-inspired crafts can be made, while younger visitors can enjoy rides on a miniature train. Festival-themed mascots will be present throughout the day, and children will have the chance to meet them and capture memorable photos at a dedicated photo booth.
